They also allow sunlight into your space, which can be great when you need it to see, but frustrating when it's glaring off your computer or television screen. But it doesn't have to be this way. With Designer Screen Shades from Blinds N' Shades Express, you have the option to block out the sun and keep the view.
Fabric Variety
There are 51 different fabric lines available for our Designer Screen Shades, making them one of our most customizable window treatment options. The fabrics are available in a wide variety of colors, so you can find shades to match your sense of design and style. The fabric choices include a brand-new Hunter Douglass exclusive fabric, Greenscreen Sea-Tex™. This one-of-a-kind fabric option uses a yarn made from reclaimed plastic that was washed out of the ocean.
Opacity Options
The wide variety of fabric options available for Designer Screen Shades also means there are various available opacity options. Choose from five different levels of openness. Openness is the weave density of the screen fabric. More open means a looser weave with more visibility, while less open means a tighter weave with more privacy. By choosing a more open fabric, you are able to filter the light and UV rays while still keeping the view. Think of it as putting on a pair of sunglasses. Our Flux fabric line, in particular, is great for providing relief from the sun while still allowing you to enjoy the world outside of your window.
Superior UV Protection
UV rays can cause all sorts of harm to the interior of a house. Direct sunlight can fade your furniture, causing discoloration and an uneven hue. It can also damage artwork on the walls and even cause peeling and cracking in your flooring. Designer Screen Shades offer superior protection for the harmful effects of UV rays. Even the most open fabric blocks 86% of the sun's damaging rays, and if you choose a less open fabric, you can block up to 99% of the UV rays coming through your window.
